GUILIN

Today you will visit 3 most popular sites among foreign visitors in Guilin. The tour starts from the Folded Brocade Hill. Sitting on the bank of Li River and Guilin downtown, it offers great view to the Li River and Guilin city. Continue your exploration to the Reed Flute Cave, a mysterious and colourful world of stalactites, stalagmites, stone pillars, stone curtains, birds, plants and animals in fantastic shapes.

In the afternoon, you will be driven to an ancient fishing village, Daxu Ancient Town, which is about 40 minutes’ drive from Guilin city area. You could still feel the historical atmosphere when stepping on the stone roads and stone bridge.

• Wear antiskid shoe when climbing the hill and visit the cave as the ground can be slippery in the cave.

Reed Flute Cave

After breakfast, we will drive about 2 hours to Longsheng to see the amazing rice terrace and feel the Zhuang minority customs. Upon arrival, step in a local’s home and see what the local life and local residence is like. The hostess has so many skills, like making bamboo rice, making Chinese rice wine, making hot pepper sauce, embroidery and making straw sandals. You could learn some of these skills of the hostess based on your interests.

One of the do-not-miss programs is the bamboo rice making, which will be served as your lunch. Wander in Ping’an Zhuang Village and the terraced rice filed after lunch to fully feel the minority atmosphere.

Take some rest in the hotel before the sunset. Capture the afterglow and the reflection in the rice field with your photograph gears.

Note: The winding mountain road of Longsheng is a little bumpy.

Get up earlier to catch the beautiful sunrise. After breakfast in the hotel, take a 1.5 hours hiking tour from Ping'an to Longji Ancient Zhuang Village. During this hiking tour, you will experience the authentic local life by visiting their house and talking with the local people. You will learn more about their history and culture by visiting the Zhuang Museum, which is unique in Longsheng County.

After getting back to Guilin, you will have an hour relaxing walk along the Shanhu Lake and Banyan Lake, where locals walk and relax along the lake area and some do exercises.
