Frequently Asked Questions About Xian Tours

Usually 1 - 2 nights are enough for the highlights (Terra Cotta Warriors, City Wall, Muslim Street, Shaanxi History Museum and Big Goose Pagoda and some cultural experiences such as half day dumpling making...). If you like mountains, you may add one more day to visit Mt. Hua, which is about 1.5 hours' drive one way from Xi'an.
Xi'an has a semi-moist monsoon climate and there is a clear distinction between the four seasons. Summer in Xi'an is hot and rainy while winter it is usually cold and dry. Spring and autumn would be the best season to visit Xi'an.
Spring (March to May) and autumn (September to November) are the best travel season in Xi’an as the weather is quite comfortable. Summer is quite hot and winter is chilly.
  • a) You can enjoy a night food tour in Muslim Quarter. In the Defu lane near Xi'angzi Temple, bars, teahouses, cafés huddle up for the fun-seeker especially the night owls for a color night.
  • b) Musical Fountain (9pm Mar-Nov, 8pm Dec-Feb) in the north of the Big Wild Goose Pagoda, is ranked as the Asian biggest fountain, is a free and nice hangout place at night.
