1-day Sanya Itinerary

If you only have one day to explore Sanya, we would suggest the following itinerary:

Morning: Start your day early and head to Yalong Bay, one of Sanya's most famous beaches. Enjoy a morning walk on the beach, go for a swim or just relax and soak in the sun. After spending some time at the beach, head to the Nanshan Temple, which is about an hour's drive from Yalong Bay. This temple is located on a mountain and offers stunning views of the surrounding area. Take your time to explore the temple, appreciate the architecture and soak up the peaceful atmosphere.

Afternoon: For lunch, head to the Dadonghai area, where you can find a wide range of local and international cuisine. Dadonghai Beach is also nearby, so you can relax by the sea while enjoying your meal. After lunch, head to the Sanya Romance Park, which is located in the Haitang Bay area. This theme park offers a variety of attractions, including a water park, a VR roller coaster, and a dolphin show. 

Evening: For dinner, head to the Jiefang Road area, where you can find a variety of restaurants and street food vendors. Try some local specialties like Hainanese chicken rice or seafood dishes.

2-day Sanya Travel Itinerary

Day 1:  Start your day early by visiting Nanshan Temple, a Buddhist temple located on the outskirts of Sanya. It's a beautiful complex with stunning architecture, gardens, and a giant statue of Guan Yin, the goddess of mercy. From there, head to the Yalong Bay, one of the most popular beaches in Sanya. It's a great place to swim, sunbathe, or go for a stroll on the boardwalk.

For lunch, try some of the local seafood dishes at one of the many restaurants in Yalong Bay. In the afternoon, take a short drive to the Sanya Romance Park, a cultural theme park that showcases the history and culture of Hainan Island. There are live performances, exhibitions, and various activities to participate in.

In the evening, visit the Sanya Bay Beach and enjoy a peaceful walk along the shoreline. You can also watch the sunset and have dinner at one of the seafood restaurants located along the beach.

Day 2:  Start your day early again and head to Wuzhizhou Island, a scenic island located off the coast of Sanya. It's a popular spot for snorkeling, diving, and other water activities.     After spending the morning on the island, head to the Luhuitou Park, a hilltop park with stunning views of the surrounding area. There's a statue of a deer at the top of the hill, which is a symbol of love and good fortune in Chinese culture.

For lunch, try some of the local snacks and street food at the park's food stalls.

In the evening, visit Dadonghai Beach, another popular beach in Sanya. It's a great place to relax, watch the sunset, and have dinner at one of the many restaurants in the area.

3-day Sanya Itinerary

Day 1: Visit Yalong Bay. Yalong Bay is one of the most famous and beautiful beaches in Sanya. Enjoy the sun, sand, and water activities such as jet skiing, banana boat rides, or parasailing. Head to the Nanshan Cultural Tourism Zone. It is a scenic area that includes the famous 108-meter-tall Guanyin statue, beautiful gardens, and the South China Sea Cultural Park. Finish the day with a visit to Luhuitou Park. It's located on a hilltop, and it's an excellent spot to watch the sunset and take in the stunning views of the city.

Day 2: Explore Wuzhizhou Island. It's a popular attraction known for its crystal-clear waters, colorful coral reefs, and exciting water activities such as snorkeling, diving, and water sports. After spending the day on the island, head to Dadonghai Beach, where you can take a stroll, relax, and enjoy the sunset. End the day with a visit to the Sanya Romance Park, which features a grand musical fountain show, cultural performances, and amusement rides.

Day 3: Visit the Yanoda Rainforest Cultural Tourism Zone. It's a nature reserve that features lush forests, waterfalls, and scenic hiking trails. Head to the Sanya Phoenix Island for a luxurious and peaceful afternoon. Enjoy the beautiful beach, infinity pool, and gourmet dining at one of the island's many restaurants. End your trip with a visit to the Hainan Island Wildlife Park, where you can see a variety of animals such as tigers, lions, and pandas.

5-Day Sanya Itinerary

Day 1: Visit the Nanshan Cultural Tourism Zone and see the Guan Yin of the South Sea statue. Enjoy a seafood dinner at Dadonghai Beach.

Day 2: Take a stroll through the beautiful tropical plants at the Yalong Bay Tropical Paradise Forest Park. Relax at Yalong Bay Beach and enjoy water sports like parasailing, jet skiing, and more.

Day 3: Explore the ancient Nanshan Temple and learn about Buddhism in China. Visit the Tianya Haijiao scenic spot and take in the breathtaking ocean views. Have a local dinner and try some Hainan specialties like Wenchang chicken or Jiaji duck.

Day 4: Take a boat tour to the Wuzhizhou Island and enjoy snorkeling and diving. Relax at the beach and soak up the sun. Enjoy the local nightlife at Sanya Bar Street.

Day 5: Visit the Hainan Tropical Wildlife Park and Botanical Garden to see a variety of animals and plants. Learn about the local Li and Miao ethnic cultures at the Sanya Ethnic Culture Park. Have a farewell dinner at a local restaurant and enjoy some Hainanese music and dance performances.
