The specific arrangements for holidays in 2023: the New Year's Day, Spring Festival, Ching Ming Festival, Labour Day, Dragon Boat Festival, Mid-Autumn Festival, and National Day holiday.
1. New Year's Day: 31 December 2022 to 2 January 2023, a total of 3 days of holidays.
2. Chinese New Year: 21 to 27 January, 7 days of holiday. Work on 28 January (Saturday) and 29 January (Sunday).
3. Tomb Sweeping Festival: 5 April, a total of 1 day off.
4. Labour Day: 29 April to 3 May, a total of 5 days off. Work on 23 April (Sunday), and 6 May (Saturday).
5. Dragon Festival: 22 to 24 June, a total of 3 days off, Work on 25 (Sunday) June.
6. Mid-Autumn Festival and National Day: 29 September to 6 October, a total of 8 days off. Work on 7 (Saturday) and October 8 (Sunday) October.
Helpful advice on your China travel
- Avoid the Two Big Holidays: Labor Day and National Day
- If you have to travel on holiday, you can spend your holiday dates on more leisurely trips, such as spending your time on a 3-night Three Gorges cruise, learning to do some crafts indoors, or learning Tai Chi outdoors to avoid crowded restaurants and attractions.

1. New Year's Day: 30 December 2022 to 1 January 2023, a total of 3 days of holidays.
2. Chinese New Year: 10 to 16 February, 7 days of holiday. Work on 17 (Saturday) and (Sunday) February.
3. Tomb Sweeping Festival: 4 to 6 April, a total of 3 days off.
4. Labour Day: 29 April to 1 May, a total of 3 days off, Plus 27 (Saturday) and 28 (Sunday) April, a total of 5 days off.
5. Dragon Festival: 8 to 10 June, a total of 3 days off.
6. Mid-Autumn Festival: 15 to 17 September, a total of 3 days off.
7. National Day: 29 September to 5 October, a total of 7 days off.
