6 Days Beijing Shanghai Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Beijing

Check into your hotel and rest for a while, Head out to explore the city: visit the Temple of Heaven, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and stroll through the historic Tiananmen Square, Enjoy a traditional Beijing roast duck dinner.

Day 2: Beijing

Visit the Great Wall of China at Mutianyu, one of the most well-preserved sections of the wall, and take in the stunning views, Explore the Summer Palace, a vast imperial garden and palace complex, In the evening, enjoy a performance of the famous Beijing Opera.

Day 3: Beijing

Visit the Forbidden City, the former imperial palace and a UNESCO World Heritage Site, Walk through the hutongs, narrow alleys lined with traditional courtyard homes, and learn about the local way of life, In the evening, enjoy a Peking Opera show or explore the vibrant nightlife in Sanlitun.

Day 4: Shanghai

Take a high-speed train from Beijing to Shanghai (about 5 hours), Check into your hotel, and relax for a bit, Visit the iconic Oriental Pearl Tower for stunning views of the city, Stroll along the Bund, a historic waterfront area with stunning colonial-era buildings.

Day 5: Shanghai

Visit the beautiful Yu Garden and explore the traditional streets and shops of the nearby Old Town, Take a river cruise on the Huangpu River for panoramic views of Shanghai's skyline, In the evening, experience the exciting nightlife of Shanghai in the trendy Xintiandi area.

Day 6: Departure
